About.

Chris Ramirez, Founder of Hale Ikepili

Who am I.

I, Chris Ramirez, am a graduate of the University of Hawaii with a degree in accounting. I have been working for DBC, Inc. (administrative liaison to The Hawaii Insurance Bureau) as the Field Services Manager since 2014. Verisk Analytics trained me to conduct commercial property surveys for insurance ratings.

The ratings use Verisk 's Specific Commercial Property Evaluation Schedule (SCOPES) to assure the consistent evaluation and analysis of hazards for every property. I simultaneously served as the Field Services Manager for DBC, Inc.'s sister company, BluePac solutions. BluePac Solutions offered Reconstruction Cost valuation reports generated by Corelogic utilizing Commercial Express software.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic affected the business in 2020, BluePac Solutions decided to no longer generate valuation reports. However, I have decided to continue to offer these services under my own company, Hale Ikepili, LLC.

My previous experiences as an Accountant, IT Specialist, Sales, and Operations Manager working for our local companies such as Pearl Hawaii FCU, Hawaiian Financial FCU, and HMSA will ensure that I understand the business landscape here in Hawaii.

The Hawaiian business name Hale Ikepili translates to House Data. You will be relying on my attention to detail to enter the correct data for your hale when generating these valuation reports that you will use as one of the decision-making tools when being advised for insurance coverage.

For those of you for whom I 've already had the privilege to complete surveys, you know the quality of the work I provide and understand that pricing is based on local transportation only versus mainland competitors.

For those of you who have been referred to my services, I humbly thank you for the opportunity.

Reconstruction Cost Valuations and Reports

Reconstruction Cost.

Reconstruction cost is the cost to replicate, at current prices, using like kind and quality materials, construction standards, design/layout, and quality of workmanship.

Reconstruction costs also include a number of site-specific and process-related costs that are experienced when rebuilding after a loss. These additional expenses are related to repair/restoration contractors, construction process, time urgency, limited site mobility, adjoining non-construction areas, insured’s property, economies of scale, dangerous/hazardous materials, and mold concerns.

Reports.

The summary report includes the owner, the reconstruction cost total, the depreciated cost, and the total cost per square foot for each section. This report also includes the total replacement costs for equipment and structures associated with each section.
